Young and Honey, architects, designed the new Synagogue in a distinctive classical revival style popularized by John Young in Geelong in the 1850's. the stucco rendered brick structure has important historical associations with the Jewish Community in Geelong, is a notable example oaf the work of architects Young and Honey and one of the most elaborate of the early Synagogues in Victoria.
