Other intact qualities include the horizontal weatherboard wall cladding, brick chimney, wide eaves, timber framed casement windows with leadlighted highlights, timber framed double hung windows arranged as a horizontal bank of three forming a projecting flat roofed rectangular bay, and the decorative gable infill (brackets, shingling, battening and stucco work). The house at 41 Seaview Avenue is historically significant at a LOCAL level. It is associated with the Barwon Heads Estate subdivision of 1891.
