Moorabool Median PriceSurrounding suburbs | Map | Street view | Nearby property price | Planning History: | | Registered as Victorian heritage | B Listed - Regional Significance STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE 'Craigton', a single storey stone house, was apparently erected in 1860 as the residence of the Chief Engineer and the project director for the Victorian Railways during construction of the nearby Moorabool Viaduct. This rectangular plan structure is plainly adorned in a transitional Italianate style characteristic of the work of Victorian Railways architects in the mid-nineteenth century. The residence constructed of ubiquitous squared basalt with the facade only enhanced by stucco rendering and a small composite timber and iron verandah is an interesting Italianate style building in the district.
