This single storey triple gabled stone house is a transitional colonial Georgian style design of unknown architectural origins. 'Greystanes' is a most unusual design indicative of the pattern book derived architectural traditions of the 1850's and with important associations with William Bright, a pioneer Victorian merchant/importer and eminent Geelong Alderman and civic leader.
