A brick and partly painted stucco single storey parapetted building designed by A & K Henderson in the American style of industrial design and built by Walter E Cooper Pty Ltd for the Broken Hill Proprietary Company limited in 1935, with additions made in 1954 and 1974. The building is chiefly notable for its distinctive entrance in Lorimer Street, and as the site of the only surviving nineteenth century nail and wire products manufacturer in Melbourne.
