The Architect was J W Lockwood. The building has a two storey verandah across the street facade incorporating a pediment feature on the first floor. The principal rooms on both the ground and first floors have canted-bay windows. This is an interesting example of terrace house architecture dating from the late nineteenth century. The facade contains a number of fine features including the pedimented verandah, arched openings, fine stained glass in the fan light and side lights to the front door, mosaic tile verandah, cast iron palisade fence and cast iron balustrade panels incorporating an unusual lyre-shaped pattern. The canted-bay windows extending over both floors of the building are a rare feature of terrace house design. The interior is well preserved and the stable building at the rear of the building is noteworthy.
