Stavely is of local historical and architectural significance to Queensliffe as a representative and broadly intact example of a modest Victorian dwelling built in the township in the early years of its development. It is also of historic interest for its association with prominent people in both Queenscliffe and throughout Victoria including its long association with James Deane, a founder of the Melbourne Steamship company. |
