The Nissen type huts (and even the gable roofed huts) have become quite rare, and it is unusual to find such a representative and well cared for group of buildings in a place, not necessarily open to the public to enter, but highly accessible for viewing. The Depot site does not have a long history as an Army Depot, but it is probably the only place in town which is representative of the Army's long association with the town. |
