| C Listed - Local Significance The house at 71 Mount Pleasant Road is aesthetically significant at a LOCAL level. Although altered, it continues to demonstrate original design qualities of the interwar Californian Bungalow style. These qualities include the transverse and projecting gable roofs, weatherboard wall cladding, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, timber framed double hung bay windows, paired verandah columns and piers with concrete cappings, shingling about the bay windows and the window leadlighting. The substantial palm tree further contributes to the significance of the place. The house also contributes to the predominantly single storey residential streetscape. The house at 71 Mount Pleasant Road is historically significant at a LOCAL level. It is associated with the Hilltop Estate Subdivision of 1922.
