Statement of Significance as recorded under the Queenscliff Heritage Study 2009
Wyndom is of local architectural and historical significance. Free-standing villas of this style and comprising polychromatic brickwork are unusual in Queenscliff, although not so in the metropolitan area of Melbourne. Polychrome brickwork in domestic construction within Queenscliff is confined to a few examples in localised groups, such as Thanet Terrace and the north side of Stokes Street, between Learmonth and Mercer. This is an excellent example of this style of brickwork.
The building is of significance at a local level for its association with successful builder W G Priddle, who built the house, and lived there for the last years of his life.
