| B Listed - Regional Significance STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE 'Glenburnie' a single storey double fronted brick and stucco villa at 54 Western Beach, Geelong was constructed in 1880 for WW Bradley. Alexander Davidson & Co were the architects and the villa, a most distinctive example of the work of this architect, is designed in a characteristic eclectic mode derived from French Romanesque sources and contemporary British architecture of the 1870s. The stilted segmental arch windows to symmetrical bays about a central Romanesque arched entrance is a most unusual elevational treatment. The residence illustrates the maturation of Davidson's original and distinctive eclecticism.
