'Valburn' at 210 Glenlyon Road, East Brunswick is of local historic and aesthetic significance to the City of Moreland. Why is it significant? Of historical significance as evidence of an early phase of development in this section of Glenlyon Road from 1905 to 1910, during which time at least 11 timber houses were constructed. (AHC Criterion A.4) Of aesthetic significance, as a representative example of a late Victorian villa, which is complemented by the two mature specimens of Canary Island Date Palm (Phoenix canariensis), dating from around the time of the house's construction.
