| C Listed - Local Significance The house at 2 McDonald Street is aesthetically significant at a LOCAL level. Although the changes to the verandah structure, eaves and front windows have considerably impacted on the integrity of the place, the house still demonstrates some original design qualites of the Late Victorian style. These qualities include the hipped roof, together with the form of the skillion verandah that projects towards the street frontage. Other intact qualities include the two prominent, rendered and corbelled chimneys, narrow eaves, and the front four panelled timber door with highlight?. The house at 2 McDonald Street is historically significant at a LOCAL level. It is associated with John Spriggins, original and long time owner, together with the development of housing in Belmont the late 19th century. Overall, the house at 2 McDonald Street is of LOCAL significance. REFERENCE 1.
