An ornate two-storey mansion designed by J A B Koch and erected in 1890 for pastoralist and investor, William Alexander Robertson. The asymmetrically designed residence has arcuated loggias and decorated sculptural ornamentation.
The opulent interior, in the tradition of the European baroque, includes elaborate stencilling, and is almost unrivalled in Victoria. A rare example of a grand late 19th century mansion in Victoria and the finest residence designed by Koch.
