'Forres Farm' is of local historic and aesthetic significance to the City of Casey. Why is it significant? Historically, Forres Farm is significant as a farm residence dating from 1900 or earlier, and built for and most probably by members of the Bolduan family, district German pioneers. It remained in Bolduan family ownership at least until 1924. (AHC criteria A4, D2 and H1) Aesthetically, this symmetrical villa is significant for its unusual stucco rendered facade with return verandahs and its traditional garden setting. (AHC criterion E1) |
